Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use PT Pacer. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms. You agree to provide accurate account information and to keep your credentials secure.

2. Description of the service

PT Pacer is a training and pacing tool. It converts published military physical fitness run standards into a target pace and an audio cadence you can train against. PT Pacer is not an official test administrator and does not certify, score, or record any official test result. It is an independent product and is not endorsed by or affiliated with the Department of Defense or any branch of the U.S. Armed Forces.

Audio devices are prohibited during official and record PT testing across all branches. PT Pacer is for training runs only and must never be used during an actual test.

3. Subscriptions and billing

• Certain features require an auto-renewing subscription, offered on a monthly or annual basis. There is no free trial.
• Subscriptions are sold and billed through Apple at the price shown on the App Store listing at the time of purchase, charged to your Apple ID.
• Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends.
• You can cancel at any time in your Apple ID subscription settings. Canceling stops future renewals; access continues through the end of the paid period.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's refund policies. We cannot issue refunds for App Store purchases.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service during an official, record, or proctored fitness test.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract the app's data or source code.
• Share, resell, or misrepresent your account or subscription access.
• Use the Service unlawfully or to interfere with its operation or security.

5. Accuracy disclaimer

Pace, cadence, and score figures are estimates generated from published standards and are provided for training purposes only. Standards change, and scoring may be applied differently by your command, recruiter, or testing authority. PT Pacer does not guarantee any specific test result, score, or outcome. Always confirm current requirements through official service channels.

6. Health and fitness disclaimer

PT Pacer is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. Consult a physician before beginning any new exercise program, and stop exercising and seek medical attention if you experience pain, dizziness, or other symptoms. You use the Service and train at your own risk.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, branding, and content, is owned by PT Pacer and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for your own training. Branch names and marks referenced in the app belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify applicable standards.

8. Limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, PT Pacer will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any injury, lost score, missed standard, or lost data arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months before the claim.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from within the app. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that create risk to the Service or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including disclaimers, liability limits, and intellectual property — will survive.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we'll notify you in-app or by email. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [STATE], without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in [STATE].
